What is the Access Directory?

The AIDS Community Care Enhanced Services Systems (ACCESS) Directory is a reference source for services and other information that may be needed by persons living with HIV/AIDS. The first edition was published in 1994. There have been a total of four editions, the last occurring in 2000. This web-based directory was developed in 2005 as the result of a grant from the New York AIDS Coalition.

The ACCESS Directory was developed by the Binghamton Tri-County’s HIV Care Network’s Case Management Committee. Network members assist to keep the Directory current by informing the Network Coordinator of changes to Directory information or suggest changes to improve the Directory.

How to Use the Access Directory

The Directory can be searched either by service or by agency/provider/program. When searching by service, all service providers who are included in the Directory will be displayed. Choose a service and the entries for all agencies/providers/programs that provide the selected service will be displayed.

When searching by agency/provider/program, the names of all agencies, providers and programs are displayed. Select the agency/provider/programs that you wish displayed. Then click on “submit” at the bottom of the page, and the complete entry for each agencies/providers/programs chosen will be displayed.

The Directory can be displayed in its entirety by clicking on “View Entire Directory” on the Search page. Due to the size of the Directory, it may take several minutes for the entire Directory to display.

The size of the text can be displayed in regular or large size. The text size can be changed by clicking on “Small Text” or “Large Text” near the top of each page.

The Network welcomes suggestions to enhance the usefulness of this Directory. Please contact the Network Coordinator at skosty@co.broome.ny.us or call 607.778.3066.
