County Executive Announces September 11th Commemoration

BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County Executive Jeffrey P. Kraham has announced plans to commemorate the anniversary of September 11, 2001.

On Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at 8:46 a.m., the time at which the first World Trade Center Tower was struck, a moment of silence will be observed as the flags are lowered by representatives of local police, fire and EMT agencies at Governmental Plaza in downtown Binghamton.

"We would like to remember September 11, 2001 with a simple, quiet moment of silence for all to reflect on the meaning of this date in their lives," said County Executive Kraham.

Residents and employees of the downtown Binghamton area are welcome to participate.
