The Exotic Splendor Of Feudal Japan Vists The Broome County Public Library
BINGHAMTON, NY - "The Shogun Age" a poster format exhibition on loan from the Texas Council for the Humanities Resource Center in Austin, Texas will be on display beginning Monday, October 13th through Saturday, November 1st at the Broome County Public Library.
Visitors can travel back in time with guest lecturer Gerald E. Kadish, Ph.D., Professor of Ancient History, Egypt at SUNY Binghamton as he explores the culture and lifestyle of the aristocracy that ruled Japan for twenty generations. Professor Kadish will make his presentation on Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the G. Clifford and Florence B. Decker Community Room at the library.
The "Shogun Age" is the second in a series of three exhibitions procured from the Texas Council for the Humanities Resource Center to be displayed at the Broome County Public Library. Recently visitors were able to view and learn about the "Treasures of Tutankhamun", in November "The Search for Alexander" arrives. The exhibits and Dr. Kadish's lectures are presented by Friends of the Broome County Public Library.
