US Airways Resumes Nonstop Service to Pittsburgh International Airport from the Greater Binghamton Airport
BINGHAMTON, NY - US Airways Express today resumed nonstop flights between the Greater Binghamton Airport (BGM) and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Starting today, US Airways will be offering two (2) roundtrip flights per day with business friendly arrival and departure times.
“This enhanced schedule is outstanding news for the travelers of the Greater Binghamton Region,” said Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala. “Using the customer friendly Pittsburgh International Airport has been a priority to thousands of local travelers over the years, which makes this announcement very exciting.”
In addition to these two (2) new roundtrip flights to PIT, US Airways offers seven (7) arrivals and seven (7) departures to the Philadelphia International Airport. Of these eighteen arrivals and departures, nearly 50% are operated on regional jet aircraft. From Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, US Airways offers convenient connections to many business and leisure destinations including Florida, Europe and the Caribbean. Flights to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and the connecting cities served by these airports, are now available for purchase at www.usairways.com or by calling a travel consultant.
Currently, the Greater Binghamton Airport offers service from 4 of the nation’s 7 largest airlines with 32 flights per day (approximately 50% of these flights utilize new regional jet aircraft) providing convenient service to most domestic and international destinations. The airlines currently serving the Greater Binghamton area include Delta Connection, Northwest Airlink, United Express and US Airways Express. From these airlines, non-stop service is available to Cincinnati, Detroit, Washington DC, and Philadelphia, respectively. With this announcement new direct service is now available to Pittsburgh by US Airways Express.
