Broome County, City of Binghamton, New York State Remember September 11th

BINGHAMTON, NY - The 6th annual September 11th remembrance ceremony for Broome County will take place Monday morning at 8:46am (the time of the first airline crash into the Twin Towers). The solemn ceremony will take place in the center parking lot of the Governmental Plaza and is put on each year by Broome County, New York State and the City of Binghamton.

Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency Services Personnel will be on hand for the flag raising and lowering ceremony. There will also be a moment of silence, a 21 gun salute and Taps will be played by the Marine Corp.

A number of local officials including Broome County Executive Barbara Fiala, Mayor Matt Ryan, Senator Tom Libous and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo are expected to be in attendance. The public is also welcome to attend.
