Summer Season Begins For Broome County Parks
BINGHAMTON, NY - Saturday, May 24, 2008 marks the opening of the 2008 summer season for Broome County Parks and Recreation. All county parks will be open free of charge, from 8:00 AM to dark daily through Labor Day, September 1, 2008. Swimming, boating, picnicking, hiking and snack bars are available at Greenwood, Dorchester and Nathaniel Cole Parks. Attention Campers!
Greenwood Park Campground will be open weekends beginning May 9th. The campgrounds will be open daily through Labor Day beginning May 23rd. For more information or to make reservations call Broome County Parks and Recreation at 607.778.2193.
Attention Lifegaurds!
Broome County Parks and Recreation is seeking to fill two lifeguard positions at Greenwood Park for the summer season. Interested applicants should contact Broome County Parks and Recreation at 607.778.2193. All applicants must be certified lifeguards.
