Greater Binghamton Airshow 2008
BINGHAMTON, NY - After a very successful return of the Greater Binghamton Airshow last year the Broome County Department of Aviation, Giant markets and Newman Development Group are proud to announce AirShow 2008 to be held on June 21st at the Greater Binghamton Airport.
“Our Airshow has become one of our community's premiere summer events,” said Barbara J. Fiala, Broome County Executive. “We are so proud to have the opportunity to bring this level of entertainment to Broome County,” added Fiala.
Airshow 2008 will feature powerful military jets such as the US Air Force F–16 and the US Navy F–18 demonstrating their awesome capabilities. World War II era aircraft will also take to the skies joining in formation with modern day fighters for historic Heritage Flights. In addition to our military aviation, past and present, world renowned civilian performers will leave spectators in awe doing seemingly impossible aerobatic maneuvers with their high performance aircraft.
“We have such an exciting event planned this year with plenty of variety offering something for everyone,” said David Hickling, Broome County Deputy Commissioner of Aviation.
The Greater Binghamton Airshow will be held on Saturday June 21st Gates open at 10:00 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 11:30 a.m. Aerial performances will run from 11:30am to 4:00pm.
Advanced sale tickets available at all Giant Markets beginning June 1st. Adults $10.00 (12.00 at the gate), children 7—16 $7.00 ($9.00 at the gate). Children under 7 are free.
