Buses: Based upon where you reside, there are three different bus options available.

  1. Fixed Route Bus

    BC Transit Fixed Route Bus

    Fixed route buses serve the urban area of the county from Endicott to Kirkwood. These buses run seven days a week, but have different schedules on Saturday and Sunday. Visit BC Transit http://www.gobroomecounty.com/transit/TransitCityBus.php for schedules and additional information.

  2. The Office for Aging Mini-bus/BC Lift

    BC Transit OFA Mini Bus

    The Office for Aging Minibus and BC Lift are two reservation-based services on the same bus. Riders can make reservations two weeks in advance and up until the day before the requested ride. Dispatchers award rides on a first come, first served basis. Seniors wishing to make an Office for Aging Mini-bus reservation call 607.763.4421 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Individuals wishing to make a BC Lift reservation call 607.763.4426 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Sunday.

    The Office for Aging Mini-bus/BC lift serves:

    • Binghamton, Endicott and Johnson City
    • Portions of Chenango Bridge, Conklin, Kirkwood and Vestal

  3. BC Country

    BC Transit BC Country Bus

    BC Country is a reservation-based service and transports rural residents to the urban areas and back again. Those wishing to schedule a ride on BC Country should call 607.763.4466 between the hours of 9:00 Am and 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Riders can make reservations up to two weeks in advance. BC Country rides are first come, first served and fill quickly.

  4. Other Options: GROW
    GROW stands for Gaining Resources for Older Workers. The program matches people with individuals 55 years or older who hire themselves out for jobs. GROW has workers registered who will hire themselves out as private drivers. Visit the GROW webpage to learn more about the hiring process. Those wishing to hire a GROW driver should call 607.778.6105 between 8:30 and 12:00 Monday – Friday.
