The Broome County Department of Public Transportation is an agency within Broome County Government and offers four services:
 

BC  Transit Fixed Route  buses are available to the general public needing a ride to places in the Triple Cities (Binghamton, Johnson City, Endicott, Vestal). The system uses 40 foot long Orion series buses, which are wheel chair accessible. Read more ... 

BC Lift is a service for those residing within areas served by the BC Transit Fixed Route system, who have a medical disability not allowing them to use the BC Transit Fixed Route system.  Generally, eligible riders are those with a medical disability and who are:

1. Not able to get to and from B.C. Transit bus stops because of impairment or obstruction
2. Not able to use the B.C. Transit system because of their impairment, even though there are Lift equipped buses, and
3. For whom there is not an accessible bus available. Read more ...

BC Country  serves riders who live in rural areas of Broome County.  These buses travel to different rural areas of Broome County on scheduled days of the week.  Such areas include Whitney Point, Lisle, Port Crane, Harpursville, Kirkwood, Deposit, Windsor, Maine, Glen Aubrey, Chenango Forks, Chenango Bridge and certain locations in Vestal. The only limitation for people using the B.C. Country is that they must live in the rural areas of Broome County and need to travel to the urban core of the triple cities. Read more ...

OFA-Mini Bus  serves people age 60 and older who live within Broome's urban core. This service can be used for rides of any purpose. To be eligible you must fill out an application and you will be given an Office for Aging identification card to show when boarding the bus. HOLIDAY OBSERVANCES
The days that we do not offer service are New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

SAFETY FIRST
The Broome Country Department of Public Transportation has one of the best safety records in the State as well as the Nation. We have a comprehensive safety program for all new hires and offer annual classes for long-term employees. We also offer as an additional benefit to all our employees, the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Six-Hour Course.
